2023: the best Nigerians Tinubu band together, want him dead – Evans

Prophet Gabriel Evans has condemned prominent Nigerians for “joining together” against the former governor of Lagos, Bola Tinubu before 2023.

The head of Her Majesty’s evangelical ministry said it was unfortunate that those Tinubu had made oppose his ambition and want his death.

The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is said to be interested in succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari.

Low-profile, medium-scale campaigns have started nationwide. Large-scale public support is expected from January 2022.

In a sermon delivered in English and Yoruba, Evans said that while he does not stand up for Tinubu, the truth is sacrosanct.

“I am not a politician. What is my business with Tinubu? If he dies, if he’s alive, that’s none of my business. But I am telling the truth.

“No other person in Nigeria has built champions like Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He made men, he separated from people who were nobody to become someone.

“He made governors… Abiola Ajimobi, Dapo Abiodun, Rauf Aregbesola, Gboyega Oyetola, Segun Oni, Kayode Fayemi.

“Personal ambition covered their eyes today. They betray the person who made them. He made governors, senators, ministers, the vice-president.

“These times they didn’t remember that he was a monopolistic and undemocratic person… when he chose them over others.

“Now they paint him in a bad light. They pray for his death, his downfall… so that he does not return to Nigeria.

“I don’t know him, I don’t care if I know him. He doesn’t feed me, but let’s tell the truth. He has his shortcomings like all other humans, ”he said.

The cleric noted, however, that Tinubu’s ambition had blindfolded him not to reason correctly in 2015.

“If he had reasoned correctly, he would have realized that these people are not the type you are dealing with,” Evans added.

Tinubu is in London to see his doctors. Amid rumors of the deaths, Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu visited him on August 3.

Tinubu’s movements outside of Nigeria for medical purposes have increased in recent years.

Strong supporters fear his health will deteriorate in the run-up to the general election.

It is not yet clear whether Tinubu will join the presidential race despite concerns or nominate a preferred candidate.

Borgu’s Jagaban is expected to return home before the end of August.
