Invictus is a biographical sports drama directed by Clint Eastwood and based on the book Playing the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game that Made a Nation by John Carlin on events in South Africa before and during the 1995 Rugby World Cup. Invictus follows Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman), who, after his 27 years in prison and his election as President of South Africa, decides to unite his people by supporting a rugby team, the Sprinboks, in their attempt to winning the 1995 Rugby World Cup. The most recent collaboration between Clint and Scott Eastwood is Problems with the curve, a sports drama directed by Robert Lorenz. Problems with the curve tells the story of Gus Lobel (Clint eastwood), an aging Atlanta Braves baseball scout who is given one final assignment to prove his worth to the organization as they believe he is unable to adjust to changes in the game. Like his boss and friend doesn’t want to see him go, he contacts his daughter, Mickey (Amy Adams), to join him on the scouting journey. Scott Eastwood had a minor role in Problems with the curve like Billy Clark, an Atlanta Braves player.
