Samsung launches 5G and 4G models of Galaxy A22 with 5,000mAh batteries and 90Hz displays
Samsung has updated its line of A-series smartphones with the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G and the Samsung Galaxy A22 4G. Both devices have a similar look; however, are quite different in terms of specifications. The 5G model comes with a triple rear camera and a larger screen, while the 4G variant has a quad rear camera setup. Both Samsung phones come with a large 5,000mAh battery. For now, the new phones have debuted in the Netherlands and Samsung has yet to share details of their global availability. The 5G variant is available in the colors gray, mint, purple and white, and the 4G model is available in the colors black, mint, purple and white.
Starting with the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G, the smartphone comes with a 6.6-inch Full-HD + display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a teardrop-shaped notch for the only selfie camera. Under the hood, it contains an unnamed octa-core processor, which is said to be MediaTek Dimensity 700. The same processor is present in the Realme 8 5G and the Poco M3 Pro 5G. The phone also has up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage expandable up to 1 TB via a microSD card (up to 1 TB). The phone comes with up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Notably, it embeds a quadruple rear camera system that houses a 48-megapixel main camera with f / 1.8 aperture and support for optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f aperture /2.2 and two 2- megapixel shooters for macro photography and depth detection.
