Originally scheduled for a special delivery event on June 3, Tesla Model S Plaid deliveries have been pushed back by a week and will now take place on June 10, 2021.
Announcing the new date, Musk said the delay was due to “another adjustment” in the S Plaid model.
Tesla co-founder and CEO Elon Musk announced that deliveries of the Model S Plaid have been delayed once again and are now scheduled for June 10, 2021. The Tesla boss previously confirmed that deliveries will take place on June 3, at the company’s Fremont plant in California, United States. The extra week is needed to make undisclosed final changes, Musk said in a tweet. The new Tesla Model S Plaid is priced at $ 112,990 (around ₹ 82.54 lakh) in the United States.

The Tesla Models S Plaid was initially announced at the end of January of this year with deliveries promised in a few weeks, placing the delivery period towards the end of February or March. However, the model was delayed for a number of reasons, including changing the battery for safety reasons, as well as the global semiconductor shortage.
The Plaid is the new performance version of the Tesla Model S and promises 0-100 km / h acceleration in just 1.99 seconds.
